General SD-57 Information
Senate District (SD) 57 is one of 67 equally apportioned areas of the state represented in the Minnesota legislature by a state senator and two representatives. Our District Senator, Katie Sieben, lives in Newport and is seeking another term at her current post.
As seen pictured above, we present the Section's 2010 incumbent and new candidates, Katie Sieben (Senator), Jen Peterson (SD-57A), and David Page (SD-57B).

The Gulf Oil Spill... BP appears to achieved some success with their most recent attempt to control the Gulf oil leak and it is said 10,000+ barrels / day are being recovered. It continues to appear that 5,000 barrels / day are still flowing uncontrolled into the Gulf. When will this disaster be brought under control !
